Enab­ling Tech­no­lo­gies

The Bun­des­mi­nis­te­ri­um für Bil­dung und For­schung (BMBF) intends to fund pro­jects on “Enab­ling tech­no­lo­gies for resi­li­ent R&D sup­p­ly chains in quan­tum tech­no­lo­gies”. The mea­su­re sup­ports pre-com­pe­ti­ti­ve col­la­bo­ra­ti­ve rese­arch and deve­lo­p­ment pro­jects that deal with the new or fur­ther deve­lo­p­ment of the neces­sa­ry enab­ling tech­no­lo­gies for Quan­tum Com­pu­ters and Quan­tum Sens­ing. Its aim is to acce­le­ra­te the fur­ther deve­lo­p­ment of Quan­tum Tech­no­lo­gies in Ger­ma­ny and Euro­pe with enab­ling tech­no­lo­gies and at the same time to tap into the rese­arch strength and eco­no­mic poten­ti­al in the field of Quan­tum Com­pu­ting and Quan­tum Sens­ing for com­pa­nies. In addi­ti­on, the tech­no­lo­gi­cal sove­reig­n­ty of the R&D sup­p­ly chain for Quan­tum Tech­no­lo­gies is to be streng­the­ned, par­ti­cu­lar­ly in cri­ti­cal cases of device tech­no­lo­gy. Further infor­ma­ti­on on the fun­ding call can be found here.
