Quantum Effects 2025

SQuaD presents at this year’s Quantum Effects:

The Quantum Effects is an international trade fair and conference for application-oriented Quantum Technologies, held annually in Stuttgart since 2023. With its international reach, the event promotes networking and fosters a shared ecosystem at the intersection of business, politics, science, and society. The focus is on four key areas: Computing & Enabling Technologies, Software, Sensing, and Communication. This year, SQuaD was also represented with its own booth.

The fair took place on 07 and 08 October 2025 at the International Congress Center in Stuttgart, offering around 90 exhibitors and approximately 2.500 participants a diverse and high-quality program. The umbrella project kicked off the event on the first morning with a presentation by Dr. Anya Samadi titled “Umbrella Project Quantum Communication Germany (SQuaD): Insights into community activities,” in which she provided a comprehensive overview of the project’s background, goals, and activities. A highlight of the second day was the panel discussion on “Economic Perspectives for Quantum Networks,” in which our consortium partner Dr. Lukas Weymann (Fraunhofer-Institut für System- und Innovationsforschung, ISI) also participated. These contributions not only advanced the professional discourse on Quantum Communication but also increased the visibility of SQuaD.

Like last year, the two days of the fair were entirely dedicated to personal exchange: numerous visitors took the opportunity to learn about the project and the latest developments in Quantum Communication at the SQuaD booth. In many engaging discussions with representatives from research, industry, and politics, experiences were shared, ideas debated, and new contacts established. The consistently positive feedback from the community was particularly valuable, providing important suggestions and impulses for SQuaD’s future activities. At the same time, it underscored the significance of such events for the advancement and networking within the German Quantum Technology Landscape.
