Reo­ri­en­ta­ti­on of Fun­ding Acti­vi­ties in the Field of Quan­tum Tech­no­lo­gies

Sub­mis­si­on Dead­lines and Cut-off Dates for three 2026 Fun­ding Mea­su­res sus­pen­ded:

At the begin­ning of Sep­tem­ber 2026, the Bun­des­mi­nis­te­ri­um für For­schung, Tech­no­lo­gie und Raum­fahrt (BMFTR) announ­ced that, as part of a reo­ri­en­ta­ti­on of its fun­ding acti­vi­ties in the field of Quan­tum Tech­no­lo­gies, three sub­mis­si­on dead­lines and cut-off dates sche­du­led for late 2026 will not take place. The mea­su­res affec­ted are:

  • “Enab­ling Tech­no­lo­gies for Resi­li­ent R&D Sup­p­ly Chains in Quan­tum Tech­no­lo­gies” (dead­line for sub­mis­si­ons: 30 Sep­tem­ber 2026); the fun­ding pro­gram­me will not be con­tin­ued and ends with imme­dia­te effect.
  • “Sci­en­ti­fic Pre-Pro­jects: Pho­to­nics and Quan­tum Tech­no­lo­gies” (dead­line for sub­mis­si­ons: 15 Decem­ber 2026); the fun­ding pro­gram­me is sus­pen­ded but remains in place.
  • “Quan­tum Inter­na­tio­nal” (dead­line for sub­mis­si­ons: 15 Novem­ber 2026); the fun­ding pro­gram­me is sus­pen­ded.

Pro­jects that have alre­a­dy been sel­ec­ted are not affec­ted by the­se chan­ges. Fur­ther infor­ma­ti­on on the fun­ding mea­su­res is available here.
