Secu­re Future Tech­no­lo­gies in a Hyper­con­nec­ted World

Announce­ment for the Fun­ding of Pro­jects on the Sub­ject “Secu­re Future Tech­no­lo­gies in a Hyper­con­nec­ted World: Arti­fi­ci­al Intel­li­gence”:

The Bun­des­mi­nis­te­ri­um für Bil­dung und For­schung (BMBF) has published an announce­ment for fun­ding of pro­jects on the sub­ject “Secu­re future tech­no­lo­gies in a hyper­con­nec­ted world: Arti­fi­ci­al intel­li­gence”. The aim of pro­vi­ding fun­ding is to sus­tain­ab­ly streng­then rese­arch, exper­ti­se, and value chains rela­ted to IT secu­ri­ty in Ger­ma­ny and to dri­ve the secu­re appli­ca­ti­on of AI tech­no­lo­gies. Rese­arch exper­ti­se in the inter­sec­tion bet­ween IT secu­ri­ty and AI is to be enhan­ced and the trans­fer to prac­ti­ce is to be acce­le­ra­ted. Through col­la­bo­ra­ti­on bet­ween com­pa­nies and rese­arch insti­tu­tes, the exis­ting know-how from Germany’s com­pa­ra­tively advan­ced IT secu­ri­ty rese­arch is to be trans­fer­red to imple­men­ting part­ners from indus­try and to be pre­pared for appli­ca­ti­on. This fun­ding is an important con­tri­bu­ti­on to Ger­ma­ny achie­ving tech­no­lo­gi­cal sove­reig­n­ty in the field of IT secu­ri­ty. Ano­ther aim of pro­vi­ding sup­port is to ensu­re the avai­la­bi­li­ty of secu­re and trust­wor­t­hy AI sys­tems and to increase the qua­li­ta­ti­ve and quan­ti­ta­ti­ve AI-sup­port­ed secu­ri­ty solu­ti­ons in the core are­as of appli­ca­ti­on. Fur­ther infor­ma­ti­on on the fun­ding call can be found here.
