Sum­mer School on Opti­cal Com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on 2025

The Sum­mer School on Opti­cal Com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on 2025 will take place in Ber­lin from 15 to 18 July 2025. It offers exclu­si­ve insights into the latest deve­lo­p­ments in opti­cal com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on – from fiber-based and opti­cal wire­less access net­works to trans­mis­si­on tech­no­lo­gies, net­work archi­tec­tures, and emer­ging pho­to­nic approa­ches. The pro­gram­me includes expert ses­si­ons and talks from inter­na­tio­nal­ly renow­ned experts from rese­arch and indus­try – inclu­ding Fraun­ho­fer HHI, lea­ding uni­ver­si­ties, and glo­bal tech­no­lo­gy com­pa­nies – on fiber trans­mis­si­on, access net­works, opti­cal wire­less, net­work plan­ning and con­trol, a com­pa­ny visit at Adtran and Adva Net­work Secu­ri­ty GmbH, a lab visit at Fraun­ho­fer HHI as well as various net­wor­king and social events. Whe­ther you are a master’s stu­dent, PhD rese­ar­cher, or ear­ly-care­er engi­neer, the Sum­mer School is your oppor­tu­ni­ty to con­nect, explo­re, and gain inspi­ra­ti­on for your care­er in the field of opti­cal com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on. Regis­tra­ti­on is now open via the event web­site.
