SQuaD Booth at World of Quantum in Munich:
The World of Quantum is an international trade fair held every two years that brings together actors and stakeholders from the field of Quantum Technologies. The aim of the fair is to present a comprehensive toolkit for the development and construction of Quantum Systems as well as to showcase all application areas of Quantum Technologies. The exhibition spectrum includes, among others, laser systems, subsystems and components for Quantum Technology, Quantum Computing, Quantum Simulation, Quantum Communication, Quantum Cryptography, Quantum Sensing & Metrology, and Quantum Imaging. SQuaD was also represented this year with its own booth.
The fair took place from 24 to 27 June 2025 at the Messe Munich Trade Fair Center and featured 160 exhibitors from 16 countries – including companies, start-ups, and research institutions – as well as 22,000 participants from 41 countries. Especially noteworthy were the strong international commitment and the broad support from across the entire industry. Expert lectures by leading specialists provided exciting insights into forward-looking topics such as Quantum Computing, Quantum Communication, and Quantum Cryptography, thus covering the entire spectrum of Quantum Technologies.
For SQuaD, participating in the WoQ was an excellent opportunity to engage with a broad professional audience. The project’s own booth, decorated with umbrellas and located directly opposite the area of the Bundesministerium für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt (BMFTR), provided the ideal platform to present the project’s activities and goals and to receive direct feedback from the community. The diversity of international guests made it possible to establish valuable contacts beyond Germany’s borders, helped raise the profile of the umbrella project internationally, and offered deeper insights into the current state of Quantum Communication – insights from which we are confident to benefit for a long time to come.
