Appli­ca­ti­on-Ori­en­ted Quan­tum Infor­ma­tics

The fun­ding mea­su­re pur­sues the goal of pro­vi­ding evi­dence of prac­ti­cal user bene­fits through the use of a Quan­tum Com­pu­ter or at least deve­lo­ping the foun­da­ti­ons for this and esti­mat­ing the resour­ces requi­red. The aim is to attract new play­ers to the appli­ca­ti­on of Quan­tum Com­pu­ting and for estab­lished insti­tu­ti­ons to con­ti­nue and expand their acti­vi­ties. Within this frame­work, rese­arch work will be sup­port­ed in which part­ners with com­ple­men­ta­ry exper­ti­se, for exam­p­le in the are­as of Quan­tum Algo­rith­ms and the addres­sed appli­ca­ti­on, work tog­e­ther to eva­lua­te the poten­ti­al of Quan­tum Com­pu­ting for the spe­ci­fic appli­ca­ti­on as part of the pro­ject. Further infor­ma­ti­on on the fun­ding call can be found here.
