Enab­ling Start-up: Start-ups in Quan­tum Tech­no­lo­gies and Pho­to­nics

Start-ups are important for the trans­fer of new sci­en­ti­fic and tech­ni­cal fin­dings from rese­arch into inno­va­tions and their com­mer­cial explo­ita­ti­on. For this reason, the Bun­des­mi­nis­te­ri­um für Bil­dung und For­schung (BMBF) sup­ports rese­arch-ori­en­ted com­pa­nies short­ly after and in the pha­se imme­dia­te­ly pri­or to their foun­da­ti­on. The fun­ding mea­su­re aims to trans­fer inno­va­ti­ve ide­as in Quan­tum Tech­no­lo­gies and pho­to­nics from uni­ver­si­ties and rese­arch insti­tu­ti­ons to appli­ca­ti­on and com­mer­cial explo­ita­ti­on via spin-offs. For this pur­po­se, fun­ding is to be pro­vi­ded in par­ti­cu­lar for col­la­bo­ra­ti­ons bet­ween a start-up and a rese­arch insti­tu­ti­on or uni­ver­si­ty. Fur­ther infor­ma­ti­on on the fun­ding call can be found here.
